Hi Joe,
Your website is very encouraging. This is one stop shopping for aspiring internet booksellers. I love to research but where business is concerned I prefer to work smarter, not harder.
I was recently awarded a 4 to 1 match for a small business start up. I intend to include many of the books you recommend and the equipment into my business plan. I am an avid book collector and librarian by trade. I don't actually read all the books; I'm just compelled to buy them, smell them, scan them and in some cases repair them before I am forced to weed again! It's a wonderfully viscous cycle that can become lucrative.
I saw a man scouting at a thrift store a few weeks ago. He was very stand offish and told me his scanner cost $600.00 and refused to tell me the brand. Thank you for being generous with your information and experience. My question is "Which price look up software do you use/recommend."

Hello Akiliah;
Thanks for writing! Congratulations on your small business financing. Not many are lucky enough to find start-up capital, so it appears that you’re off to a great beginning.
As far as price look-up software goes, I like ASellerTool and Mediascouter. They each have advantages and disadvantages. The best thing for you to do is trial them both and choose the one that works best for your situation.
You can find additional information about price look-up tools in my book, InternetBookselling Made Easy!
Finally, you can get unlimited answers to your questions in my bookseller's forum by going to the Forum Guidelines page and signing up for a FREE MEMBERSHIP. You'll get useful advice from me and other experienced booksellers to help you grow your business and make it more profitable. Make sure you sign up today and introduce yourself to everyone!
