Don't Have Margins Like Booksellers

One of the most profitable online businesses I know is reselling inventory from well-stocked used book sales. Consequently, I've never met a book sale I didn't like.
And this week of book scouting was positively terrific. For one thing, it was half price day at one of my favorite thrift chains.
Half price! I mean on everything. Who can resist that?
I was already pulling a lot of $50.00 and $70.00 books out of that place and paying $3.00 - $4.00 for them. But yesterday, I was able to do the same thing for only $1.50 - $2.00 each.
I believe that if you use as many small ways to save money as possible, like the one above, that they eventually add up to big bucks.

I even found a half dozen old library books for sale that were being listed online for $15.00 a piece. Also, I was able to buy and sell used DVDs cheap. As I said, it's one of the most profitable online businesses I know.
The reason I mention this is because I want to stress the importance of maintaining a positive mental attitude. You see, I really didn’t feel like going out to scout books that day and adding new inventory to my Amazon seller account.
There were several days this week when I rolled out of bed and the thought of driving around town just wasn't very appealing.
But I was determined to maintain my schedule and I psyched myself out to do it anyway -- and it was one of the best weeks I've had in months. Everything seemed to go "just right."
I guess it really is true that when you least expect it, you enjoy your greatest successes. That's how this week of scouting felt to me.
